Sales Director -Utilities

Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Utilities Head to drive business development and strategic client partnerships across the APAC region. This is a regional role based in Singapore, responsible for leading the company’s growth efforts in the Utilities and Energy sector.
The ideal candidate will bring deep domain knowledge of the Utilities industry and a strong track record in selling enterprise software solutions such as billing systems, CRM platforms, and customer experience tools. Experience working with major utilities or energy providers is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a regional go-to-market strategy targeting the Utilities and Energy sector
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline across APAC, focusing on enterprise software solutions (e.g., billing platforms, CRM, digital customer engagement tools)
- Lead client conversations, discovery sessions, and commercial negotiations with senior decision-makers (e.g., CIOs, CTOs, Heads of Digital)
- Maintain and grow strategic relationships with key clients and prospects across the region
- Collaborate closely with internal product, delivery, and technical teams to align client needs with solution offerings
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and client feedback to refine sales strategy and identify new opportunities
- Provide regular sales reporting and forecasting to the General Manager, Singapore & APAC
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, business development, or client engagement roles, preferably in the Utilities or Energy sectors
- Proven experience in selling enterprise software solutions, ideally CRM, billing, or cloud-based platforms
- Deep understanding of utility business models, digital transformation trends, and regulatory frameworks in the region
- Strong network and industry presence in the Utilities sector
- Demonstrated ability to manage long sales cycles and close high-value deals across multiple geographies
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
- Self-driven, strategic thinker with a collaborative mindset
- Based in Singapore or willing to relocate
