Assistant Manager, Human Resource & Administration

Job Summary:
The Assistant HR Manager supports the HR Head in implementing HR policies, managing employee relations, and overseeing recruitment and administrative functions. This role acts as a bridge between management and employees, ensuring smooth HR operations and compliance with labour laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the HR Head in the development and implementation of HR strategies and initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
- Support the recruitment process, including job postings, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
- Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and documentation.
- Handle employee relations issues, addressing grievances and promoting a positive workplace culture.
- Assist in performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback systems.
- Coordinate training and development programs.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
- Support payroll, compensation, and benefits administration.
- Prepare HR reports and metrics for management review.
- Participate in Policy development and HR projects.
- Deputise the HR Head in her absence and able to provide support to Senior Management on HR and related issues.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices and labour legislation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in talent management and employee engagement.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Leadership and team management skills.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time role, typically office-based.
- May require occasional overtime during recruitment drives or HR projects.
