AWS Cloud Engineer - Geylang

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and proactive AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and administering AWS cloud infrastructure with a focus on automation, scalability, and reliability. This role involves working closely with Cloud Solution Architects and clients to ensure successful deployment, migration, and optimization of cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and administer AWS cloud infrastructure with a hands-on, technical approach.
• Ensure infrastructure configuration meets high standards of performance, security, scalability, and reliability.
• Codify and implement configurations following automation-first principles using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and CloudFormation.
• Document deployments and infrastructure changes in detail to ensure maintainability and compliance.
• Participate in cloud migration projects, including VM and database migrations (CloudEndure experience preferred).
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to optimize processes and environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with a focus on timely resolution and documentation aligned with SLAs.
• Stay updated with the latest cloud trends, certifications, and best practices; actively contribute to the cloud technical community.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in AWS cloud administration, operations, deployment, and migration projects.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services and cloud infrastructure tools.
• AWS certifications such as Solutions Architect, Cloud Practitioner, or specialty certifications (e.g., DevOps, Database) are highly desirable.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., EKS, Kubernetes, Openshift, Tanzu). CKA certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
