Bukit Merah - Compliance Specialist- AML/CFT - Insurance/Trust

• Provide regulatory guidance to management and staff, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and guidelines.
• Conduct gap analyses on new and updated regulations to assess impact and recommend necessary actions.
• Develop and maintain internal compliance procedures in line with regulatory requirements.
• Manage the licensing process for representatives in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Oversee the Know Your Customer (KYC) process in Singapore, including reviewing customer documentation, conducting due diligence on prospective clients, and performing periodic reviews of existing clients.
• Administer the Know Your Transaction (KYT) framework by reviewing and updating AML/CFT policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations. This includes reviewing transaction monitoring alerts and evaluating the effectiveness of monitoring parameters.
• Design and implement a comprehensive compliance monitoring program to verify adherence to internal compliance policies.
• Deliver compliance training to staff to enhance awareness and understanding of regulatory obligations.
• Escalate significant compliance issues to the Head of Compliance, particularly those arising from review findings.
• Collaborate with business units to promote a strong culture of compliance and corporate governance through awareness initiatives, training, and proactive advisory support.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant compliance experience within a regulated financial institution, preferably in the insurance or trust sector.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore’s regulatory framework, including the Securities and Futures Act, Payment Services Act, and the Insurance and Trust Companies Acts, as well as prevailing AML/CFT requirements.
• Proven ability to identify and assess compliance risks, with sound judgment in escalating issues to senior management when necessary.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and time management skills; a collaborative team player who can effectively represent the compliance function in cross-functional projects.
• Capable of analyzing complex data and regulatory scenarios, applying sound judgment to resolve issues efficiently and effectively.
