Role Overview
We are seeking a Junior Relationship Manager to join our growing Private Wealth team. The ideal candidate will support Senior Relationship Managers in new client origination and onboarding, managing client portfolios and related portfolio reviews.This will necessitate working closely with clients, internal stakeholders, and external partners such as private banks, fund managers, and family office and trust service providers. Clientele spans Asia, with a focus on Greater China.
This role offers strong exposure to the entire wealth vertical from client-facing opportunities to portfolio management and wealth planning, with an emphasis on the family office ecosystem. The right candidate will have the opportunity to grow significantly into a client-facing role.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Senior Relationship Managers in originating and managing high-net-worth and family office client relationships.
- Coordinate account openings, which include KYC documentations, and administrative follow-ups.
- Assist Senior Relationship Managers in portfolio management and wealth planning matters. This will necessitate order placement and tracking in relation to portfolio management, and involvement in clients’ multi-generation wealth transfer initiatives.
- Liaise with private banks, custodians, and external service providers (trustees, fund administrators, legal and tax advisors).
- Preparation of investment proposals, portfolio reviews, and client reports.
- Maintain client databases and ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to client events, marketing materials, and investor communications.
- Support ad-hoc projects related to fund structuring, onboarding of new investment solutions, and internal work process enhancements.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- 2–4 years of experience in private banking, wealth management, and/or family office environment.
- Good understanding of financial solutions, account structures (family offices, trusts, VCC, etc.), and compliance procedures.
- Familiarity with order management and tracking in relation to portfolio management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, in engaging with all stakeholders. Strong client-service orientation. Independent and with strong initiative to drive assigned tasks.
- Details-oriented, organized, and able to multitask across entire wealth vertical and multiple client portfolios.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Bloomberg is an advantage.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin required; other Asian language proficiency will be a plus.
- Exposure to multi-jurisdictional wealth management and planning.
- Collaborative environment with senior professionals across private banking, investment banking, and private equity backgrounds.
