CNC Machinist

About the role

CDI Energy Products Pte. Ltd. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in the West Region. As a CNC Machinist, you will play a crucial role in the production of high-quality components for the Oil and Gas industry. This is a full-time position that offers competitive pay and benefits.

1. Operate and program various CNC machines to manufacture parts and components with a high degree of accuracy and precision
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications to ensure the final product meets the required standards
3. Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters. Interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances.
4. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance
5. Collaborate with the engineering team to identify process improvements and implement cost-effective manufacturing solutions
6. Maintain detailed production records and documentation
7. Monitors initial runs and does inspection to assure conformance to blueprints and quality plans. Ensure all dimensions inspected during "in process" inspection are correct and recorded.
8. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment

1. Minimum NITEC/Higher NITEC/Diploma with 3-5 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering industry and with relevant qualification in Precision Machining
2. Proficient in operating a variety of CNC machines, including lathes, turning, mills and grinders
3. Prefer with experience machining Metal/Plastic products and understanding of CNC programming, including G-code and CAD/CAM software.
4. Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
5. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints and specifications
6. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
7. Certification or training in CNC machining or a related field is highly desirable
8. Able to work independently under minimal supervision.
