About this role:

We are looking for a Design Director with strong hospitality project experience in Europe and Asia to join our Singapore office. Our office is located conveniently in CBD area and easily accessible with any public transportation. You would be working in a multicultural office environment full of passionate designers.

Job Summary:

As a Design Director, you will lead and inspire a talented design team, driving the creative vision from the initial concept through to execution. Your leadership will ensure that all design solutions align with client expectations and our commitment to excellence in luxury interiors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspire and mentor the design team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation while guiding the creative process.
• Develop and present sophisticated design concepts that reflect a deep understanding of luxury hospitality and align with project objectives.
• Utilize expert space planning skills to create functional, aesthetically pleasing environments that enhance guest experience.
• Supervise project timelines and milestones, ensuring that all phases are completed on schedule and to the highest standards.
• Oversee project budgets, ensuring financial goals are achieved while maintaining design integrity.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients, effectively presenting design packages and project updates.
• Ensure all project deliverables meet the highest standards of quality and precision, adhering to local building codes and regulations.
• Identify potential project risks and implement strategies to mitigate them, ensuring smooth project execution.
• Maintain detailed project documentation and generate regular progress reports for stakeholders.
• Manage team timesheets and monitor project hourly consumption to optimize resource allocation and profitability.
• Oversee all contractual obligations, including scope, timelines, budgets, and payment schedules.

Below are the minimum qualifications that we expect from you:

• 12+ years of experience in luxury hospitality interior design.
• Minimum 2 years of experience holding a Design Director role in a hospitality interior design practice.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or architecture.
• You MUST HAVE experience in leading an international design team including experience in leading a remote design team outside of Singapore.
• International work examples in Asia and Europe are required.
• You MUST HAVE hospitality and F&B project experience.
• Exceptional creativity and conceptualization skills.
• Proficiency in space planning with meticulous attention to detail.
• In-depth understanding of hotel design and construction processes.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Extensive knowledge of project and resource management.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Photoshop.
• Fluent in English. It will be an advantage if you can speak one or more than 1 European languages.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to meet tight project deadlines.
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Collaborative spirit and enjoyment in working in team environments.
