About the Rol
We are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join the Academic Programmes Business (APB) unit as Manager / Assistant Manager — Marketing and Outreach.
Reporting to the Associate Director, APB, the Assistant Manager / Manager - Marketing and Outreach is expected to drive and support marketing and outreach campaigns and initiatives to promote NUS undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) programmes online, in Singapore as well as in overseas markets.
This role is offered on a three-year renewable contract basis in the first instance, with the prospect of a regular open employment contract thereafter subject to satisfactory job performance during the first three years.
Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with an annual variable bonus, which is subject to the incumbent's performance and the University/School's prevailing remuneration policies.
The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gather market intelligence and conduct research to gain an in-depth understanding of target markets and audiences
- Plan, develop, execute and manage broad-based integrated marketing campaigns and initiatives, encompassing both traditional and digital marketing platforms
- Develop and/or assess integrated marketing strategies, plans and calendars, ensuring that they are crafted to engage the right target audience and markets as well as aligned with the University's, School's and/or Unit's objectives
- Plan and manage marketing budgets, monitoring expenditures and payments to vendors
- Source, assess, procure and manage vendors to achieve objectives of paid marketing campaigns and initiatives
- Oversee the execution of campaigns and initiatives (including but not limited to online, print and out-of-home (OOH) advertising, social media posts, electronic direct mailers (eDMs) and in-person and online information sessions and events)
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to produce comprehensive and effectively customised marketing assets and collateral to support all related outreach activities
- Work closely with APB Content Marketing team, NUS Office of University Communications and other stakeholders to act as a brand guardian in terms of the positioning, messaging, look and feel of digital/print marketing assets and collateral (e.g. advertisements, brochures, promotional videos, social media posts, etc.)
- Monitor and evaluate success of campaigns and initiatives, preparing reports for senior management and internal stakeholders at regular intervals
- Provide administrative and operational support for the APB unit, such as automation of marketing campaigns and process improvements
Requirements:
Academic & Professional Qualifications- At least a good bachelor's degree in any discipline from a reputable university (business- or marketing communication-related degree preferred)
- IT-savvy and proficient in MS Office applications; familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) systems (e.g. Salesforce) and Adobe Creative Cloud advantageou
- At least three to five years of relevant work experience with good knowledge of strategic integrated marketing, preferably in the higher education sector
- Highly motivated, disciplined and result-driven self-starter
- Strong project management, administration and organisational skills
- Highly numerate and meticulous, with strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills
- Strong team player, able to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve desired outcome
