Trading Analyst (Intern) - Toa Payoh

About the Role

You’ll be working closely with both traders and operators to gain a full picture of how deals are executed from start to finish.

• Support traders in daily market analysis, price updates, and preparation of trading reports.
• Assist the operations team in monitoring bunker deliveries, documentation, and supplier coordination.
• Conduct research on shipping movements, port activities, and market trends.
• Help update and maintain internal databases and trading systems.
• Participate in ad hoc projects related to supply chain optimization or market intelligence.
• Learn and apply compliance, risk management, and documentation standards within the bunkering business.

• Fundamentals of marine fuel trading and operations workflow.
• Exposure to commercial decision-making and risk considerations in commodity trading.
• Understanding of supply, logistics, and documentation in marine fuel deliveries.
• Team collaboration across traders, operators, and support functions in a fast-paced trading environment.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, or related fields.
• Strong interest in commodity trading, shipping, or energy markets.
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to learn.
• Good communication and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and comfortable with data analysis.
