Deputy Director, Strategic Planning & Partnerships
Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Director, Engagement who oversees strategic planning, partnerships, marcom and place-making, the DD, SPP plays a pivotal role in shaping the leading enterprise-level strategy development and drives organisational transformation initiatives that advance our mission of promoting STEM education and engagement.
He/she will lead a small team to conduct research and scans, plan, monitor and review the organisation’s strategic plans to ensure that the organisation remains at the forefront.
Working with various departments, he/she will also drive corporate partnerships for engagement, collaboration and sponsorship, and collaborate with agencies or consultants to deliver outcomes related to visitorship, revenue and outreach.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning & Transformation
- Drive the development and implementation of medium to long-term strategic plans while facilitating annual departmental work planning to ensure organisational alignment.
- Lead transformation progammes that foster innovation, enhance productivity, and elevate service excellence.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators, providing strategic oversight of implementation progress.
- Build and manage project teams to execute strategic change initiatives effectively.
- Assess and develop internal capabilities to support transformation efforts.
- Board Secretariat Support
- Craft high-impact strategy papers and board presentations.
- Orchestrate corporate workplan retreats and senior management updates.
- Corporate Advancement and Partnership
- Work with various departments to identify and cultivate strategic partnerships and sponsorship opportunities that create mutual value.
- Lead the team to develop compelling sponsorship and grant proposals.
- Structure and draft partnership agreements and memoranda of understanding.
- Build and maintain a strong network to facilitate new and recurring partnerships.
Qualifications & Requirements
Tertiary education (Masters/Degree in Public Policy, Science, Business, Economics, Management or related field) or equivalent with at least 10 years of relevant experience in policy, operations work and organisation transformation. Proven track record in strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.Strong analytical, systems thinking, excellent communication, strong project management and organisational skills.
Understanding of STEM learning (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is preferred
