Head of Cybersecurity Operations Centre - Toa Payoh

Job Responsibilities:

• Lead 24/7 cybersecurity monitoring and incident response efforts, ensuring prompt and effective handling of threats.
• Track changes in the global threat environment and design strategies to proactively adapt cyber operations to new risks.
• Create and continuously refine a threat detection strategy to identify threats early and efficiently, making optimal use of existing resources.
• Oversee the execution of operations and major cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring delivery within defined timelines and budgets.
• Promote strong collaboration among Cyber Defence, Engineering, Threat Intelligence, and Vulnerability Management teams to operate as a well-integrated unit.
• Drive automation across cyber operations to enhance overall efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Define and track key performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of security operations and the organization's cybersecurity posture.
• Guide the selection and review of security tools to ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, threat trends, and industry best practices to strengthen the organization’s security framework.
• Build and maintain a capable, well-resourced team with the necessary skill sets to perform effectively.
• Champion process improvements, particularly those that cut across Cyber and broader IT teams.
• Ensure that the Cybersecurity Centre consistently meets established KPIs and performance targets.
• Lead audit preparedness and ensure operations adhere to internal policies and compliance standards.
• Report relevant cybersecurity events and insights to the Cyber SteerCo for strategic oversight.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity operations, with a proven track record in leading Security Operations Centre (SOC) functions.
• Adept at developing strategic security plans and executing long-term cybersecurity initiatives.
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams of analysts, engineers, and cybersecurity specialists.
• In-depth experience incorporating threat intelligence into operational practices to enhance threat detection and response.
• Solid understanding of incident response processes, malware lifecycle management, and vulnerability handling procedures.
• Advanced technical expertise in cybersecurity, including detection engineering, digital forensics, malware analysis, and scripting.
• Broad knowledge of IT systems, including proficiency in both Windows and Linux environments.
