Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible in designing, implementing, and managing training programs that enhance employee skills, improve customer service, and support organizational growth in a fast-paced retail environment. The Learning & Development Executive ensures that employee across all levels are equipped with the knowledge and competencies required to meet business goals.

This role is based in Tampines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct training needs analysis with the respective business function leaders, in collaboration with HR business partners.
  • Develop competency framework for team members across the various job levels.
  • Design and deliver onboarding programs for new hires.
  • Create engaging training programs for team members, covering customer service, product knowledge, compliance, and operational excellence.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using feedback surveys, assessments, and post-training performance tracking.
  • Maintain training records, attendance logs, and certification status.
  • Collaborate with business to ensure completion of mandatory courses (e.g. PWM, Basic Food Hygiene, etc).
  • Manage relationships with external training providers and consultants.
  • Introduce blended learning approaches (in-person, e-learning, on-the-job coaching)
  • Facilitate workshops, onboarding sessions, and skill development programs for team members.
  • Ensure training materials are practical, accessible, and culturally relevant.
  • Stay updated on retail trends and integrate best practices into training programs.
  • Support audits, grant claims, or funding applications through Skills Future or WSG.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in learning & development, preferably in retail industry.
  • Possess ACLP certification is a plus.
  • Familiar with retail operations and frontline workforce dynamics.
  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to train diverse employee profiles.
  • Passion for retail and people-centric environment.
