Key Responsibilities
Business Partnering & Performance Management- Act as a trusted finance business partner to country and regional Institutional Banking Group (IBG) segments and industry coverage teams
- Develop a deep understanding of business drivers, revenue mix, cost structures, balance sheet usage, RWA, and client profitability
- Provide financial insights to support strategic initiatives and profitability improvement
- Lead and support budgeting, rolling forecasts, and medium‑term business planning exercises for IBG
- Deliver timely and accurate MIS, management dashboards, and performance commentary, with a strong focus on forward‑looking analysis
- Partner closely with Group Financial Planning & Analysis (GFPA) and relevant stakeholders on management reviews, disclosures, and senior management presentations
- Develop, maintain, and enhance key performance metrics, KPIs, and scorecards aligned to business strategy
- Translate complex financial data into clear insights and recommendations for senior management
- Ensure business data, reporting requirements, and analytical needs are well‑defined, governed, and met
- Provide strong oversight of financial controls, processes, and systems across IBG finance activities
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and audit expectations
- Identify risks, issues, benefits, and financial impacts associated with existing or proposed solutions
- Actively engage in finance and business transformation initiatives, including system enhancements, process re‑engineering, and data optimisation
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with Technology, Operations, Risk, Product, and other Finance teams to implement and test system and process changes
- Build strong working relationships with business, regional, and group stakeholders
- Provide clear, concise, and impactful communication of financial insights and recommendations
- Support ad‑hoc analysis and senior management requests as required
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience- Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within Institutional Banking, Corporate Banking, Wholesale Banking, or a related business
- Strong financial analysis, modelling, and problem‑solving capabilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial models and management presentations
- Working knowledge of management reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis
- Familiarity with data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g. Qlik Sense, Power BI, Copilot, or equivalent) is an advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
- Excellent verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and deliver under tight timelines
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a high level of integrity
