Bedok - Community Care Associate

The Community Care Associate (CCA) provides person-centered care and support to residents or clients in the community care setting. Working closely with nurses and therapists, the CCA helps maintain the physical, emotional, and social well-being of clients through daily care, meaningful engagement, and monitoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as feeding, toileting, bathing, and mobility.
• Support rehabilitation and therapy exercises as guided by allied health professionals.
• Provide companionship and participate in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
• Monitor clients’ conditions and report changes to nurses promptly.
• Maintain hygiene standards in client areas including room tidiness and linen changes.
• Serve meals and ensure dietary needs are met, including feeding if required.
• Escort clients within or outside the facility (e.g., for appointments, outings).
• Maintain accurate care documentation and records as required.
• Adhere to infection control and workplace safety protocols.
• Support onboarding of new clients and provide orientation.
• Carry out any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or care team.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum Secondary education; NITEC in Community Care & Social Services or equivalent preferred.
• WSQ Healthcare Support certifications are an advantage (e.g., HCSS - Eldercare).
• Compassionate, caring, and committed to serving the elderly or vulnerable populations.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
• Physically able to assist clients in mobility and daily care.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when needed.
