Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive daily IT support for desktop and office equipment, serving as the primary point of contact for helpdesk functions.
- Administer the local IT environment, collaborating with external vendors for IT infrastructure and coordinating with the Headquarters IT department.
- Oversee office IT equipment inventory and manage IT-related budgeting and cost control.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues reported by staff, developing and presenting improvement proposals to management.
- Plan, monitor, and report on the progress of IT projects, maintaining regular communication with the Headquarters IT department.
- Generate periodic status reports for management on IT operations and project milestones.
- Undertake additional ad hoc tasks as required.
Requirements:
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in IT support, helpdesk operations, and system administration.
- Proficiency in English & Japanese language to liaise with internal and external Japanese speaking clients (preferably JLPT N2 or above)
- Prior experience within the financial industry is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with the operational practices of Japanese companies is advantageous.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor relationship management.
- Successful management of IT projects, including budgeting and resource allocation.
- Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of Windows operating systems.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel including pivot tables, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Competence in managing office equipment (printers, PCs, iPhones, etc.).
- Foundational knowledge of networking principles, Windows Server, Active Directory, system administration, and license management.
- Awareness of information security and cybersecurity best practices.
- Strong documentation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Familiarity with industry standards and best practices in IT governance and compliance.
