Research Assistant - Toa Payoh

Job Objectives

The role is to provide research and research-related administrative support primarily to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) and General Manger (GM) (Investment), undertake research-related projects for the CIO and GM (Investment), and to provide additional support to the investment team members as directed, to ensure that company goals and objectives are accomplished and that operations run efficiently.

The candidate is required to be detail-oriented, technologically savvy, open to learning new tools, have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have experience in project management work.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Providing research assistance to CIO and GM (Investment):

• Work closely with the CIO and GM (Investment) to examine, develop and deploy tools and technology to help improve and optimize the investment team’s fundamental research and investment process.
• Assist in the running of ad-hoc research projects as requested by the CIO and/or GM (Investment).
• Support the GM (Investment) in the organization and planning of training activities for the investment team.

Research-related administration duties:

• Provide administrative support for the CIO and GM (Investment), including general research-related administration duties such as filing and scanning of research documents, printing and binding of research materials, liaison with different parties for meetings, booking of meeting rooms.
• Manage and arrange work travel logistics and activities for CIO and GM (Investments) - including accommodations and transportation.
• Preparation of research travel expense claims and travel insurance arrangements (where required) for the investment team - CIO, GM(Investment), Equity Analysts.
• Any other ad-hoc duties.
