Associate Director - Project Finance, Asia

International Bank with strong global presence Opportunity to work on cross-border project financing transactions About Our Client Our client, a leading global bank, is seeking an experienced Associate Director to join its Project Finance team, reporting to Head of Project Finance.
This role will focus on originating, structuring, and executing complex financing transactions across infrastructure, energy, food and agri and large-scale development projects. Job Description Key Responsibilities Support the structuring, evaluation, and execution of project finance transactions across various sectors and geographies.
Engage directly with clients and stakeholders to understand financing requirements and provide strategic solutions. Develop high-quality marketing materials, transaction proposals, indicative terms, and internal approval documentation alongside deal teams.
Manage credit submission processes, including preparation of credit papers and coordination with internal risk and approval functions. Oversee financial modelling workstreams, including scenario analysis, stress testing, and presentation of financial outputs to stakeholders.
Conduct comprehensive project due diligence, working closely with technical consultants, financial advisors, and external legal counsel. Prepare and manage ongoing portfolio monitoring activities, including covenant reviews, amendment requests, and internal reporting requirements.
Proactively monitor portfolio exposures, identify potential risk developments early, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies. Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory developments, and market dynamics relevant to project and structured financing.
Contribute to internal strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency, processes, and overall team capabilities. The Successful Applicant Requirements Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
At least 8 years of relevant experience in project finance, structured finance, or infrastructure financing within banking or financial institutions. Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities. Solid understanding of credit analysis and transaction structuring.
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders including clients, advisors, and internal teams. Strong communication and presentation skills.
