Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Automation/ Machinery Design, up to $6k)

About the Role

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong SolidWorks experience to support the design and development of automation and semiconductor equipment. This role offers the opportunity to work on end-to-end machine design and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams.

• Design and develop equipment based on customer and internal specifications.
• Lead and coordinate project design activities, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
• Generate detailed 2D and 3D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Maintain and control R&D documentation in accordance with project requirements.
• Manage and update Bill of Materials (BOM) accurately.
• Raise and follow through Engineering Change Notices (ECN) for design updates and approvals.
• Provide technical support to production, process, supply chain, and QA teams for design-related matters.
• Assist in troubleshooting and continuous improvement of designs and systems.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in automation or semiconductor equipment design.
• Strong hands-on experience with SolidWorks for mechanical design.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD / Autodesk software will be an added advantage.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Willingness to travel overseas for project support when required.
