IT Executive

JOB DESCRIPTION & REQUIREMENTS

As Varel Singapore continues to grow its hospitality operations, we are seeking a proactive and solutions-driven IT Executive to support the hotel’s daily technology infrastructure and ensure smooth system operations across all departments. This role is essential in maintaining operational efficiency, supporting end users, and delivering reliable IT services that enhance both guest and staff experiences.

• Provide day-to-day technical support for hotel systems, hardware, software, and network infrastructure across departments.
• Monitor and maintain Property Management Systems (PMS), POS systems, Wi-Fi connectivity, telecommunication systems, and other operational applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve IT-related issues promptly while minimizing operational downtime.
• Support system installations, upgrades, configurations, and routine preventive maintenance for computers, servers, printers, and related devices.
• Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for system support, maintenance, and escalations when required.
• Ensure data security, backup procedures, antivirus protection, and compliance with hotel IT policies and standards.
• Assist in user account management, access control, and system documentation.
• Support audiovisual and conferencing technology requirements for hotel events, meetings, and guest needs.
• Work closely with all operational departments to understand technical requirements and provide effective IT solutions.
• Maintain professionalism and responsiveness while delivering excellent internal support and service standards.

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Prior experience in hospitality IT support or hotel environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with hotel systems such as Opera PMS, POS systems, networking, and server management is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of network infrastructure, cybersecurity practices, hardware troubleshooting, and system administration.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented mindset.
• Able to prioritize tasks effectively and respond promptly to operational issues.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and general IT support tools.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or public holidays when operationally required.
• Experience with Marriott software systems (e.g., MARSHA, OPERA) will be considered a strong advantage.
