Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) - Yishun

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Cucumber.
• Execute test cases and validate results against expected outcomes for both Java-based and .NET-based applications.
• Write efficient and reusable SQL queries for database validation.
• Work in Linux/Unix environments to run test scripts, analyze logs, and troubleshoot issues.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand requirements and provide test coverage.
• Contribute regularly to the codebase using version control systems like Git as part of the automation framework.
• Identify bugs, perform root cause analysis, and work with development teams for resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 7 to 10 years of hands-on experience in automation testing.
• Strong Java development background, especially in building automation frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Java and Cucumber for BDD (Behavior-Driven Development).
• Proficiency in writing and executing complex SQL queries.
• Experience in testing .NET applications.
• Comfortable working in Linux/Unix environments for script execution and log analysis.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
