Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Technician (Marine / Construction)

• Carry out repair, maintenance, and servicing of mechanical equipment onboard vessels and at project construction sites
• Diagnose faults and troubleshoot marine engines and mechanical systems
• Perform dismantling, repair, and replacement of engine components and spare parts
• Conduct alignment checks and reassemble machinery to operational standards
• Perform testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure equipment runs smoothly
• Carry out test runs and report job completion status to supervisor
• Maintain proper records of maintenance and repair works
• Support ad-hoc mechanical repair works as assigned

• Generator sets (25kVA – 150kVA)
• Marine engines (e.g. Caterpillar, Mitsubishi)
• Propulsion systems
• Other related mechanical and marine equipment

• NTC / Higher NTC / ITE / Diploma in Mechanical, Marine or related field
• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, diesel engines, and equipment troubleshooting
• Experience in marine or construction equipment maintenance is an advantage
• Experience with hydraulic systems and cranes (e.g. Kobelco, IHI) will be highly advantageous
• Willing to work in outdoor and site-based environments
• Able to work onboard vessels and stay overnight when required
• Team player with good communication skills
