Mechanical Engineer( PSV-calibration) - Bukit Batok

Responsible for performing accurate and reliable calibration, testing, maintenance, and certification of Pressure Safety Valves (PSVs) in compliance with industry standards, customer specifications, and safety regulations. The role may be performed in a workshop or field environment, depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, dismantle, clean, and calibrate various types of pressure safety valves (spring-loaded, pilot-operated, etc.).
• Perform set pressure testing using hydraulic or pneumatic test benches.
• Ensure all work complies with ASME/API standards (e.g., API 576, API 527, ASME Section VIII).
• Record calibration results and generate test certificates with traceable documentation.
• Operate test benches, gauges, pressure pumps, and other calibration tools.
• Diagnose valve faults and recommend/perform corrective actions.
• Conduct in-situ testing (e.g., Trevitest or lift assist tests) when required.
• Maintain tools and test equipment in good condition and ensure regular calibration.
• Support audits, inspections, and quality assurance documentation.
• Comply with safety, health, and environmental (HSE) policies at all times.

Requirements:

Education:

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field.
• PSV calibration training or certification (preferred).

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in PSV calibration and testing.
• Familiarity with API and ASME standards.
• Experience in both workshop and on-site (plant) environments is an advantage.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of pressure relief systems.
• Proficient in using calibration and test equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and datasheets.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Work Conditions:

• Workshop and/or on-site field work.
• May involve travel to client locations or offshore platforms.
• Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.
