Job Summary
The Intern Paralegal / Intern Junior Lawyer supports the Legal and Corporate Secretarial functions of MDIS by assisting the Legal Director with secretarial and administrative tasks, legal research, corporate governance, compliance and personal data protection processes.This role provides practical exposure to legal operations, legal work, legal documentation, regulatory compliance, and corporate secretarial practices, while working closely with the Inhouse Legal Counsel Director and internal stakeholders.
Duties/Responsibilities- Assist the In-House Legal Counsel Director and internal stakeholders on legal, corporate governance, compliance and personal data protection matters.
- Conduct legal and regulatory research and prepare summaries where required.
- Support the drafting and review of legal and corporate secretarial documents such as resolutions, minutes, and correspondence.
- Assist in maintaining and updating statutory registers and corporate records in accordance with ACRA requirements.
- Provide support for annual return filings and preparation of board or committee meeting materials.
- Assist in fact-checking, gathering information, and coordinating with internal departments.
- Organise, maintain, and retrieve legal files, corporate documents, and confidential records.
- Provide administrative support for meetings, hearings, and internal reviews where required.
- Assist in tracking documentation, timelines, and internal processes.
- Perform other ad hoc legal and corporate secretarial duties as assigned.

- Diploma in Law, or University Undergraduate in Paralegal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Relevant internship or working experience in legal, corporate secretarial or commercial business functions.
- Paralegal certification or relevant legal training would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with ACRA requirements or corporate secretarial processes will be advantageous.
