Our client is a well-established company in the construction industry with over two decades of experience delivering residential and commercial developments in Singapore. They are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Finance Manager to join their growing team.This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management within a dynamic construction environment.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the daily finance operations (full set of accounts, AP/AR and General Ledger)
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of financial statements
- Monitor project costing, budgeting, and variance analysis for construction projects
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax regulations, and company policies
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and external stakeholders when required
- Prepare management reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial analysis
- Review and improve internal controls, financial processes, and reporting systems
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Provide guidance to junior finance team members
- Perform ad-hoc finance and administrative duties as assigned
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and local regulatory requirements
- Experience with project costing and financial analysis is an advantage
- Meticulous, analytical, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
