Senior Manager, Trading (Base Metals)

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage lithium trading activities (physical and derivatives)
Oversee day-to-day operations and performance of the trading team
Develop and implement trading strategies and sales initiatives
Work closely with internal teams (operations, legal, finance) and external counterparties
Identify and develop new business opportunities, suppliers, and trading structures
Manage risk exposure, including market, credit, and counterparty risks
Oversee hedge positions, P&L monitoring, and ensure compliance with internal controls
Drive market intelligence efforts, including supply/demand analysis and industry insights
Prepare budgets, reports, and support strategic planning initiatives

Requirements

Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field
15+ years of experience in commodities trading (physical and/or derivatives), preferably metals
Proven experience in team leadership and stakeholder management
Strong understanding of risk management, derivatives, and financial modelling
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to build and maintain industry relationships
