About the role

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's public image, government relations, stakeholder communications, and community engagement activities. The PRO will act as the key liaison between the company, government authorities, clients, consultants, contractors, media representatives, and local communities to ensure smooth communication and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, government agencies, and local authorities.
  • Represent the company in meetings, industry events, exhibitions, and public engagements.
  • Handle public inquiries and provide accurate information regarding company projects and activities.
  • Manage stakeholder communications related to ongoing construction projects.
  • Coordinate with relevant government departments and authorities regarding permits, licenses, approvals, and regulatory matters.
  • Monitor changes in government regulations affecting construction operations and communicate updates to management.
  • Prepare and distribute press releases, announcements, newsletters, and corporate communications.
  • Manage the company's social media platforms and website content to enhance brand visibility.
  • Develop communication materials including project updates, brochures, presentations, and promotional content.
  • Foster positive relationships with local communities affected by construction activities.
About you
  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, Mass Communication, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Government Liaison, or a similar role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
  • Ability to engage effectively with government authorities, clients, and community stakeholders.
  • Good organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in the construction, engineering, infrastructure, or property development industry is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of construction industry regulations and permit processes is an added advantage.
  • Strong presentation skill and able to represent company in consultant meeting.

Working days and hours:

Monday to Saturday: 8:30am to 5:30pm (alternate Saturday off)
