Global Banking & Markets, Commodities Trading, Executive Director, Singapore - Geylang
Commodities Oil Products trading desk focused on market making financial instruments to clients, across a range of products including Crude Oil and Oil Products (such as fuel oil, jet fuel, gasoline, and petrochemicals). Clients include Producers, Refineries, Trade Houses and Consumers (such as Airlines and shipping firms).
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES- Structure, price, and execute derivative and financing transactions, including vanilla and more exotic swap and options.
- Understand market fundamentals and the impact of different factors on the commodities market.
- Build and maintain models of supply and demand balances, conduct analysis around refinery margins, blending economics, and other trading opportunities.
- Make markets to clients and risk management decisions to manage customer flow.
- Manage ongoing commodity and market risk post execution of trades.
- Partner with sales franchise to share market views and build relationships with clients.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
- Five years of experience in the job offered or in a related role.
- Prior experience must include five years: structuring and pricing vanilla and complex commodity derivatives; understanding and researching commodity market fundamentals; making markets to clients and understanding different types of risk inherent in those derivative trades; and managing commodity and other risk in portfolio.
- Prior experience must include three years: building and maintaining models of supply and demand balances and conducting analysis around refinery margins and blending economics.
