Senior Compliance Manager - Tampines

The Role:
As a Senior Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for managing and enhancing the compliance program in Singapore, ensuring adherence to local regulations and internal policies. You will serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies, manage regulatory reporting, and proactively communicate product changes and potential risks.You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective compliance controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, managing inquiries, reporting, and examinations.
- Maintain and enhance the compliance framework, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop systems to track and monitor regulatory risks and compliance.
- Educate internal teams on regulatory requirements and empower them to build risk-based processes.
- Scrutinize and test compliance programs, providing constructive feedback and driving resolutions.
- Work with global product and operational teams to ensure consistent compliance practices.
- Advise on compliance-related matters for new products and initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Law, Finance, Business)
- 4+ years of experience in a compliance role
- Candidates with start-up fintech experience and from a consultancy/audit background ideally
- A fintech background and experience dealing with products is a must-have
- Capability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicate with confidence.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in risk assessment, compliance monitoring, and regulatory reporting.
