Purchasing Coordinator

This is an 18-month contract position to provide critical operational, administrative and coordination support to Purchasing team in driving compliance, ESG and transformation initiatives.

The successful candidate reports to the Buying Manager, Direct and will be based at our manufacturing site office in Jurong Island.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders to gather compliance and traceability data.
• Gather, cleanse and report data for transformation initiatives such as Payment terms optimization project.
• Maintain accurate vendor master data and purchasing documentation.
• Process Purchasing Order (PO) processing and any relevant follow up works.
• Provide general administrative and coordination support to Purchasing team.
• Act as liaison party and escalate complex issues to Buying Manager.
• Perform any other ad-hoc responsibilities as assigned.

The ideal incumbent will have:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain / Logistics / Business / Finance.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (especially Excel) and SAP.
• Good understanding of Procurement and Supply Chain in chemicals manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Flexible to work across time zones to support regional / global projects (when required).
• Prior experience in data entry, vendor coordination, or procurement support preferred.
• Prior exposure to ESG compliance tracking, or Purchasing transformation projects.
• Familiar with handling large data cleansing activities.
