About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Service Engineer to join our team at Atlas Marine Services Pte Ltd. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of marine elevators on vessels docked in the Central Region.Your expertise will be critical in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of these essential systems.
What you'll be doing- Conducting regular inspections and preventive maintenance on marine elevators
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with elevator systems, including electrical, mechanical, and control components
- Performing repairs and replacements of faulty parts to restore elevator functionality
- Maintaining detailed records of all service and repair activities
- Providing technical support and guidance to vessel crew on the proper operation and care of marine elevators
- Collaborating with the wider engineering team to implement improvements and optimise elevator performance
- Degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of marine or industrial elevator systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex issues
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and best practices in the marine industry
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with vessel crew and provide clear, concise technical guidance
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call availability as required
