Business Analyst (Client Onboarding & KYC)

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst (Client Onboarding & KYC) to support banking transformation initiatives within the private banking domain. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Owners, Project Managers, business stakeholders, and technology teams to analyse business requirements, document workflows, and deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency across client onboarding and KYC processes.
The role requires strong experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and documentation, as well as the ability to translate complex business needs into clear functional specifications for implementation.
Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements Management
- Work closely with the Product Owner and squad members to scope systems, processes, regulations, and policies related to Client Onboarding and KYC.
- Gather, analyse, and document business requirements through workshops, stakeholder discussions, and process analysis.
- Develop detailed functional specifications, use cases, user stories, and business process documentation.
- Document As-Is and Target operating workflows to support transformation initiatives.
- Define test strategies, test plans, and detailed test cases for system enhancements and new implementations.
- Support and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate stakeholder sign-offs.
- Ensure successful deployment and post go-live follow-up with business and IT teams.
- Support the update of business operational procedures and documentation.
- Deliver user training and handover to BAU operational and IT teams.
- Drive process improvement initiatives to enhance front-to-back operational efficiency and employee productivity.
- Collaborate with Business, IT, COO Office, and Control Functions to ensure project alignment.
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and facilitate discussions to drive consensus.
- Monitor project progress, risks, and issues, and escalate to the Product Owner when required.
Experience
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst within Banking or Financial Services.
- Strong hands-on experience working on Client Onboarding and KYC processes.
- Prior experience in Private Banking environments is highly preferred.
- Strong expertise in business requirements gathering and functional documentation.
- Ability to translate business needs into system and operational requirements.
- Good understanding of banking technology environments and collaboration with development teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe, Kanban).
- Experience using JIRA and Confluence for requirements documentation and project tracking.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Information Technology, Business, or related discipline.
