Logistics Supervisor

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and executing day-to-day operational activities of the store, receiving, and shipping functions. The role ensures accurate material handling, timely movement of components, and adherence to safety, regulatory, and company standards.The Supervisor works closely with the Supply Chain Operations Lead and Supply Chain Executives, reporting directly to the Procurement & Logistics Manager, to escalate operational bottlenecks, resolve issues, and implement process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities- Store, Receiving & Shipping Operations
- Supervise and perform receiving, inspection, and storage of materials, components, and serviceable parts.
- Ensure proper handling, labeling, and documentation of materials in accordance with company procedures and aviation regulations (FAA, EASA, CAAS).
- Supervise shipping of materials and components, coordinating internal dispatch and third-party couriers when necessary.
- Handle operational issues hands-on, including inspection of received parts for quantity, quality, and compliance certificates.
- Maintain housekeeping, organization, and safety of store, receiving, and shipping areas.
- Operate and manage material handling equipment, including stackers and forklifts, as required.
- Ensure operational continuity during staff shortages or urgent situations, including coordination with third-party couriers or temporary resources.
- Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements in ERP systems.
- Conduct and support cycle counts, stock reconciliations, and follow-up on discrepancies.
- Monitor stock levels, identify non-moving or excess items, and escalate issues to the Lead.
- Ensure proper storage of chemicals and hazardous materials, conducting routine inspections as required.
- Operational Issue Ownership & Escalation
- Take ownership of all operational issues within store, receiving, and shipping functions.
- Escalate unresolved or high-risk issues to the Supply Chain Operations Lead or Procurement & Logistics Manager promptly.
- Identify opportunities to improve workflow, storage utilization, and operational efficiency; plan and implement improvement initiatives.
- Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all operations comply with aviation regulations, company policies, and documentation standards.
- Safeguard all store materials across various designated areas.
- Perform regular safety and compliance checks in stores, receiving, and shipping functions.
- Reporting
- Report operational bottlenecks, issues, and progress on improvement initiatives to the Supply Chain Operations Lead.
- Maintain accurate operational records and documentation for audits, regulatory inspections, and internal reporting.
Requirements:

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in warehouse, logistics, or inventory operations; supervisory experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience in receiving, storage, shipping, and material handling.
- Forklift licence required to operate stacker or forklift equipment safely.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Exposure to inventory control, cycle counts, and stock reconciliation.
- Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements (FAA, EASA, CAAS) preferred.
- Familiarity with documentation control, traceability, and compliance within a regulated environment.
