Project Engineer (NPI / New Product Introduction)

Our client is from a MNC Manufacturing Industry. Due to their current expansion plan, they are looking for a Project Engineer to join their team, in hopes of developing the current high performing team. They are located in the North area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, including build-to-print and customised components.
• Support RFQ (Request for Quotation) activities by assisting in preparing accurate and competitive quotations.
• Translate project requirements into structured tasks for internal teams, ensuring clarity, alignment, and accountability.
• Coordinate closely with Sales, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and timely resolution of project matters.
• Track project progress and first-article status, identify risks, and implement mitigation actions to ensure on-time delivery.
• Conduct root cause analysis for discrepancies or issues and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare and maintain project reports covering status updates, risks, and key milestones for management review.
• Perform data analysis and develop dashboards/reports using business intelligence tools to support decision-making.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and operational efficiency.
• Assist with customer visits, presentations, and other ad-hoc tasks assigned by management.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in Manufacturing Engineer/relevant engineering studies or equivalent.
• Min 4 years’ relevant working experience in project management with NPI Process.
• Strong communication skills and confidence in engaging stakeholders across different levels
• Experience with SAP and business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, SQL) is an advantage
• Knowledge or exposure to optics-related products will be advantageous.
