Database Administrator(DBA)

Responsibilities
- Manage, maintain, and support database environments including Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL
- Perform database installation, configuration, migration, upgrade, backup, recovery, and patching activities
- Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize database efficiency and availability
- Support project implementation and provide database deployment activities based on project requirements
- Perform database health checks, preventive maintenance, and routine monitoring
- Implement change requests, Service Requests, and database-related operational tasks
- Work closely with application teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and customers for issue resolution and project delivery.
- Ensure database security, access control, and compliance with company policies
- Follow up with vendor/product support for database-related incidents and technical issues
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and operational reports
- Support after-office-hours maintenance or project activities when required
- Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 3 years relevant working experience in database administration
- Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate (OCA) or equivalent database certification is preferred
- Hands-on experience in Oracle, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and MySQL database administration
- Experience in database backup, recovery, performance tuning, patching, and troubleshooting
- Familiar with Linux and Windows server environments
- Knowledge of database security, high availability, replication, and disaster recovery concepts is an advantage
- Good troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Able to manage daily support tasks and meet SLA requirements
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as in a team
- Candidate must be flexible for after-office-hours support or project activities when required
