Electrical Engineer (Hospital & Commercial Projects) - Toa Payoh

Industry: Construction / M&E (Electrical Projects)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage electrical works for large-scale hospital, commercial, and mixed-use development projects.
• Plan, coordinate, and supervise project activities to ensure timely execution within cost and quality standards.
• Review electrical design drawings, specifications, and tender documents; propose technical solutions where required.
• Work closely with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to resolve technical and site issues.
• Monitor project progress, track milestones, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage site teams, allocate resources effectively, and provide technical guidance to engineers and supervisors.
• Prepare project documentation including progress reports, technical submissions, and handover documents.
• Support project budgeting, cost control, and variation order management.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and final project handover to ensure smooth completion.
• Handle any other ad-hoc duties assigned by management related to project execution.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–8 years of experience in electrical engineering within the construction / M&E industry.
• Proven track record in hospital, healthcare facilities, or commercial projects will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
• Good understanding of project management processes including planning, scheduling, and cost control.
• Excellent problem-solving and coordination skills to handle complex project challenges.
• Able to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in MS Office and project management tools; familiarity with BIM and AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
