Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Gymnastics will play a leading role in driving coaching excellence and athlete performance across the gymnastics programme for Tanglin students aged 3–18. Working closely with the Director of Gymnastics, they will design and implement a clear developmental pathway that supports progression from foundational skills through to advanced performance levels.

The role will focus on establishing and embedding a high-performance coaching culture, ensuring all sessions are underpinned by best-practice methodology, technical precision, and athlete-centred development. This includes setting and maintaining coaching standards, mentoring and upskilling coaches, and ensuring consistent delivery aligned with programme goals.

In addition, the Assistant Director will oversee athlete development by monitoring progress, implementing assessment frameworks, and supporting individualised training plans to optimise performance outcomes. They will contribute to talent identification and long-term athlete development, ensuring all gymnasts are appropriately challenged and supported to reach their potential.

This role will require the successful candidate to start preferably in August 2026. However, start date can be negotiated depending on the candidate's notice period.

Job Requirements:

  • Recognised gymnastics coaching qualification aligned with national governing body standards.
  • Proven experience in gymnastics coaching and/or athlete development.
  • A degree or further education in sports science, education, or a related field is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience coaching or working with children.
  • Experience in a leadership, management, or team-leading role.
  • Demonstrated experience in programme development and planning.

  1. 5 days work week. School holidays entitlement with a requirement to support 5 weeks of holiday camps.
