Group Operations enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group Operations, we manage majority of the Bank’s operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Global Financial Markets Operations (GFMO) partners DBS Global Financial Markets (GFM) business in the regions, enabling DBS to be a leader in the Financial Markets business. As the Regional Processing Centre centralised in Singapore (excluding Indonesia and India), we operate on a Hub and Spoke Operating Model providing post trade processing services.

About the Role

This role is within the Business Management Office (BMO) Team, a key function part of GFMO’s COO Office. The BMO Team drives and manages the following focus areas for GFMO: 1) People Agenda, 2) Strategic Planning and Management Support, 3) Operations Productivity (MTK), 4) Financials and Budget Management, 5) Workplace experiences and occupancy; 6) Providing support as Business Continuity Plan (BCP) Coordinator.

Responsibilities

We are looking for highly motivated and dynamic individual to drive and manage the following primary responsibilities:

  1. Drive and execute Learning & Development agenda in GFMO:
  • Planning, designing and implementing various programs/initiatives such as Masterclass, Knowledge Exchange, Spoke Hub Exchange, Mentorship, Future Ready Workforce Program, etc. to achieve Employee Outcomes in annual Scorecard priorities.
  • Monitoring the outcome and effectiveness of the programs/initiatives.
  • Engaging/liaising with various stakeholders, including HR Leaning & Development, Line Managers, Department Heads, Location GFMO Heads.
  1. Drive and execute People Engagement agenda in GFMO:
  • Planning and organizing events/activities such as:1) Social engagement events/initiatives (e.g. Year-End Party, GFMO People of Purpose initiatives), 2) Staff appreciation activities, 3) Staff well-being initiatives, 4) Employee onboarding program, 5) Business communications (Townhall, communications/engagement platforms), 6) My Voice Champion, 7) Workplace experiences, etc. to achieve Employee Outcomes in annual Scorecard priorities.
  • Leading selected working groups or squads (from cross-functional teams in the department) in charge of organizing the events/activities.
  • Source for or generate ideas/proposals for engagement activities/events to suit the agenda/priorities of the department.
  • Engaging/liaising with various internal and external stakeholders including line ops staff, people managers, department heads, cross-functional teams, external vendors/suppliers/organizations, etc.
  1. Collaborate with Group Operations COO Team on Group Operations or Bank-level People Engagement and Learning & Development agenda and initiatives to achieve Employee Outcomes in annual Scorecard priorities. Participation in cross-functional workgroup/taskforce on these agendas/initiatives.
  2. Provide support on certain strategic planning and management support activities:
  • Support in organizing department-wide strategy planning workshop involving GFMO head office and location heads.
  • Support on applicable department Scorecard performance monitoring and reporting.

In addition to above primary responsibilities, the incumbent may also be engaged to manage other functional responsibilities (as the secondary responsibility) in the team as outlined about the role of the Team (e.g. BCP Coordinator, Ops Productivity, etc.)

Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experiences in strategic planning, program and event planning.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with ability to manage deliverables in structured manner and to perform and deliver under pressure and tight timeline with multiple priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills, being comfortable in dealing with people of diverse personas, and ability to build rapport.
  • Ability to manage and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders of various levels.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills (both verbal and written) and able to adapt communication technique and contents to suit different audiences and objectives.
  • Self-starter, taking ownership and able to work independently in managing deliverables, as well as leading working group or squad.
  • Resourceful with ability to source for or generate and implement new ideas to continuously drive outcomes of the job-to-be-done
  • Attention to details and with focus on high quality and accuracy of work.
  • Data and visualisation skill to monitor performance indicators, generate insights and drive outcomes and effectiveness of deliverables
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (PowerPoint, Excel, etc). In addition, possessing some skillsets in content creation tools (video editing, Canva, etc.) would be an advantage.
  • Basic understanding on the nature of Global Financial Markets Operations function would be an advantage.
