Business Development Manager (Solar)

LHN Energy is a growing solar energy business looking for a driven Business Development Manager to own our sales pipeline from first enquiry through to signed contract. You'll work closely with engineering and project management teams to develop compelling proposals and win commercial and industrial solar projects.

We are open to candidates across a range of experience levels — what matters most is energy market awareness, commercial instinct, and a hunger to grow with the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Pipeline & Sales
  • Respond to and qualify inbound business enquiries promptly
  • Conduct site surveys with the Project Manager to assess project feasibility
  • Develop accurate costings and commercial proposals in collaboration with the engineering team
  • Present and negotiate proposals with prospective clients through to contract close
  • Maintain consistent follow-up across the full sales cycle
Strategy & Reporting
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the commercial and industrial solar market
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to management
  • Collaborate with senior management to shape BD strategy and prioritise target segments
  • Track pipeline activity and report on lead conversion and deal progress

What We're Looking For

Must-have
  • Demonstrated experience in B2B sales or business development
  • Commercially minded with strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Comfortable reading technical information and translating it into client-facing proposals
  • Self-driven with strong follow-through and pipeline discipline
Nice-to-have
  • Experience in the solar, renewable energy, or built environment sector
  • Familiarity with commercial and industrial (C&I) energy procurement or project sales
  • Existing network within the Singapore or regional energy market
Qualifications
  • Diploma or degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 2–7 years of relevant BD or sales experience (we will consider both emerging and experienced candidates based on fit)
