Job Summary:
We are an innovative Biotech/Pharmaceutical startup seeking a dynamic and versatile HR & Admin Manager to build and shape our human resources and administrative functions from the ground up. This role is crucial for establishing a strong team culture, streamlining HR processes, and supporting the rapid growth of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and workflows aligned with startup culture and growth objectives.
- Lead talent acquisition efforts to attract top-tier scientific and operational talent.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Oversee daily administrative operations, including office management, procurement, vendor relations, and facilities.
- Establish and maintain compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements specific to biotech research.
- Build and maintain HR documentation, employee records, and HR reporting systems.
- Drive the setup and implementation of HR system.
- Manage payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely salary payments
- Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements (i.e CPF submission and IRAS submission under AIS), and handling of employee benefits.
- Support organizational development as the company scales and evolves.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Life Sciences, or related fields.
- Proven experience in HR and administrative roles, preferably within startups, biotech, or research environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build HR processes from scratch in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with payroll administration and compliance.
Preferred Skills:
- Startup mindset: adaptable and proactive.
- Experience setting up and managing HR systems in a scaling environment.
- Knowledge of biotech research workflows, regulations, and compliance standards.
