Job Description

The Accountant's roles in a private equity fund management set up encompasses the following:

• Responsible for end-to-end NAV calculation and fund accounting for multiple private equity funds, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, US GAAP).
• Prepare and deliver Net Asset Value (NAV) reports, capital account statements, and investor reporting packages, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and transparency for LPs and stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries, journal postings, and reconciliation of investment activity, capital calls, distributions, and management/performance fees.
• Monitor and record activity related to fund structures, including SPVs, portfolio companies, co-investments, and feeder funds.
• Liaise with fund administrators, auditors, custodians, and tax advisors to support external reporting, audit preparation, and tax filings.
• Assist in valuation processes for underlying portfolio companies, including gathering relevant data and supporting documentation for fair value assessments.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and fund mandates while maintaining proper documentation and audit trails.
• Monitor fund cash flow, treasury activity, and risk-return KPIs across various private equity portfolios; assist with liquidity forecasting and capital deployment tracking.
• Support the CEO and senior management in preparing investor communications, board materials, and regulatory submissions.
• Participate in ad hoc projects, including portfolio company financial analysis, process improvements, and systems enhancements.

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy, Finance or a related field
• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CA or CPA
• Strong accounting knowledge & familiarity with Singapore/International financial reporting standards, knowledge in Fund Accounting is an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience with at least 2 years of external audit experience with the Big 4
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and meticulous
