Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Production Engineer to join our aviation manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality and efficient production of aircraft components.This role requires a strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing standards, materials, and process optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily manufacturing operations for aviation components and assemblies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain production processes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Work closely with design, quality assurance, and procurement teams to meet production targets and timelines.
- Analyze production data and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO, and other relevant aerospace standards.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment.
- Maintain accurate production documentation and reports.
- Support the implementation of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma practices.
- Monitor safety standards and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 2–5+ years of experience in production engineering within an aerospace or aviation manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with CNC machining, composites, sheet metal fabrication, and assembly processes.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, SolidWorks, etc.)
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Understanding of GD&T, BOMs, and technical drawings.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt).
- Experience with aircraft structural components or interior systems.
