About our Client: They are a global leader in innovative payment solutions, enabling seamless cross-border transactions worldwide. Our client is rapidly expanding their APAC region, and is actively hiring a Project Director to lead their global engineering and project delivery.

About the Role: As a Project Director, you will globally lead their project delivery team. You will be responsible for managing and directing high-performance teams to deliver:

Large and complex programs
A portfolio of projects for the customer base

Complex programs involve multiple product implementations combined with software development, systems integration, large-scale financial system implementations, or custom product development. You will provide overall leadership and management to a project team, working with the business to plan project delivery and engagement.

Your responsibility includes ensuring the successful delivery of mid to large-sized projects that impact multiple functions and teams across the payments business. You will provide oversight and build high-performance team talent, requiring comprehensive knowledge of implementation, software development, and multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee multiple projects and manage interdependencies.
Provide strategic guidance to project managers and implementation managers.
Manage risks, costs, and issues, taking corrective measures.
Manage activities of Project Managers and Technical Implementation Managers (hiring, training, coaching, appraising, rewarding, motivating, disciplining).
Build and foster high-performance teams, ensuring predictable, consistent, and successful program delivery.
Drive continuous improvement of Project Delivery processes related to Program and Project Management practices.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships and strategic partnerships with external (client program leadership) and internal key stakeholders/customers.

Mandatory Requirements:

Extensive experience in managing the project management life cycle and Project Governance.
Proven experience with Payment systems and solutions, particularly in digital payments, cross-border transactions, or payment processing.
Direct experience managing a team of Project Managers.
Demonstrated experience in leading high-performance project delivery teams.
8+ years of project management experience with at least 3 years of program or engagement management experience delivering large complex programs.
3+ years of direct management and leadership experience.
