Job Description
The IT Operations team is responsible for the maintenance, monitoring, and management of day-to-day system operations that support Front Office trading across the Pan Asia region. We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Fixed Income Application Support Specialist to ensure the smooth functioning of Front Office trading platforms.This role involves close collaboration with traders, sales, and operations teams to provide real-time support for trading activities, including RFQ handling, pricing, and trade lifecycle management, while maintaining high system availability for critical applications.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver real-time production support for Fixed Income Front Office trading systems, ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities.
- Provide hands-on support to traders in a live trading environment, addressing time-sensitive issues effectively.
- Support and manage key trading platforms such as ION, Bloomberg TOMS, TradeWeb, MarketAxess, MarkitWire, and Murex.
- Manage pricing and RFQ (Request for Quote) workflows to ensure accurate pricing distribution and timely responses.
- Support trade booking, validation, and lifecycle processes to ensure accurate trade capture and processing.
- Monitor end-to-end trade flows, from pricing and execution through booking and downstream systems.
- Perform regular system health checks, trading readiness validations, and market open support.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Front Office users, including traders, for all trading-related system issues.
- Troubleshoot issues related to market data feeds, pricing, trade capture, and system connectivity.
- Handle incident management in line with strict SLA requirements, particularly during active trading hours.
- Communicate clearly with stakeholders during live issues, providing timely status updates and resolution plans.
- Collaborate with external vendors (e.g., ION, Bloomberg) and internal technology teams for issue resolution and enhancements.
- Support production releases, system changes, and region-specific trading configurations.
- Ensure adherence to ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, and Change Management) and regulatory compliance standards.
- 4-6 years of experience in IT production support within financial institutions.
- Minimum 3+ years of direct experience supporting Fixed Income Front Office trading environments.
- Proven experience supporting traders in a live trading setup (mandatory requirement).
- Strong hands-on support experience with:
- ION Trading Platform (mandatory / highly preferred)
- Bloomberg TOMS (Trade Order Management System)
- MarkitWire (highly preferred)
- TradeWeb (preferred)
- MarketAxess (preferred)
- Murex (preferred)
- Strong understanding of Fixed Income instruments, including Bonds, Repo, Rates, and Credit products.
- Solid knowledge of the Front Office trading lifecycle, including Pricing → RFQ → Execution → Trade Capture → Booking → Settlement.
- Familiarity with market data feeds (e.g., Bloomberg), trading connectivity, and system interfaces.
