Clinical Research Coordinator (HPB, Transplant Surgery) (Contract)

• Serves as part of the research team involved in clinical research.
• To manage department research administrative work such as creation, submission and amendment of IRB. Maintaining research logs.
• To be involved in recruitment and follow-up on clinical trial patients.
• Coordinate research projects with other department collaborators.
• Collects data from the case notes and patient computerized records into data entry forms.
• Assist in department clinical audit activities including audit database, data collection.

• Performs other duties as assigned by Doctor- in-charge or Head of Department
• Acts as liaison between subjects and other members of the research team. Obtains relevant information by interview and case note reviews. Explains aims and plan of the project in lay terms, addressing questions and concerns of subjects, and arranging for their informed consent.
• Plans, organises and coordinates the workflow of each of the studies.
• Schedules subjects for visits to the clinic for the required tests and evaluations. Collection of samples according to protocol, where necessary.
• Draft reports for submission to the relevant authorities eg. IRB.

Job Requirements:

• Degree / Diploma in Medical Technology /Health Science/nursing with relevant academic certification
• Familiarity with patient case notes and online patient medical records is preferred (for ease in data collection)
• Familiar with Excel, Access, other MS Office software and SPSS
• Best to have research experience with CITI certificate
