Programme Coordinator - AAPMD
The Programme Coordinator assists the Manager in overseeing the Appropriate Adults Programme for Persons with MentalDisabilities (AAPMD) Scheme. The AAPMD Scheme seeks to support persons with intellectual disabilities, autism spectrumdisorders (ASD), or mental health conditions by facilitating their interviews with relevant law enforcement agencies.
The Programme Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring programme effectiveness, service quality, and stakeholderengagement through programme coordination, volunteer management, and outreach efforts.
A resourceful, proactive, and client-focused professional, the Programme Coordinator works across community,institutional, and voluntary welfare settings to support programme delivery.
Programme Coordination- Oversee the efficiency and operations of the Call Centre in supporting the AAPMD programme, ensuring quality service delivery and compliance with established procedures.
- Conduct regular quality checks, monitor staff performance, and implement improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Prepare timely updates and reports for management, while collating and analysing operational data to identify trends, improve processes, and support informed decision-making.
- Coordinate recruitment initiatives to grow and maintain an active pool of AAPMD volunteers, including screening prospective volunteers and assessing their suitability and commitment.
- Design and conduct volunteer training programmes, develop training materials and resources, and provide ongoing guidance, coaching, and support to strengthen volunteers' capabilities and service standards.
- Implement and evaluate volunteer management policies and processes to ensure compliance, operational effectiveness, and positive volunteer engagement across programmes.
- Conduct needs analysis to identify gaps and implement improvement initiatives, monitor the effectiveness of volunteer partnerships, and collaborate with programme teams on volunteer risk management measures. Support volunteer retention through recognition, engagement, and reactivation initiatives, while maintaining accurate volunteer databases and training records, and addressing volunteer concerns in a timely manner.
- Coordinate and collaborate with organisations and community partners in the planning and execution of programmes, while managing communications and stakeholder feedback effectively.
- Conduct outreach initiatives to engage target client groups, community partners.
Qualifications
Diploma / Degree in any discipline, preferably in social work or related-fields
Other Information- Experience in programme coordination, volunteer management, or community work is an advantage
- Fluent in English and a Second Language
- Must be willing to work beyond office hours (including night duty) - to attend to service calls when required
- Have a strong sense of urgency and responsibility
- Experience in working with persons with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities or related field is preferred
