Urgently Hiring Retail Optometrist / Optician / Optical Sales Assistant

• Contract / Part-time / Permanent

• 11.00am – 8.00pm daily
• 8 Off Days per month

Requirements :

• A minimum of a Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution.
• Eligibility for provisional, conditional, or full registration with the relevant authority.
• Comfortable working retail hours (including weekends & PH)
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Relevant experience preferred.
• Able to work independently

• Assist with daily retail operations

Responsibilities:

• Examine patients' eyes to identify injuries, diseases, and vision defects.
• Operate and maintain diagnostic equipment, including slit-lamp bio-microscopy, fundus cameras, and optical coherence tomography.
• Provide clear explanations of examination results to patients and offer guidance on vision-related issues.
• Recommend suitable optical aids based on assessments and individual needs.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists when eye conditions require specialized care.
• Educate first-time contact lens wearers on proper handling techniques.
• Manage inventory of contact lenses, trial lenses, and related solutions.
• Troubleshoot and adjust spectacle fittings and ophthalmic lenses.
• Maintain accurate records of patients' eye health and purchase history.
• Ensure all equipment and measuring tools are operational and well-maintained.
• Supervise and support the training of junior optometrists and opticians.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by management.
