The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by securing new business contracts, identifying new market opportunities, and enhancing brand presence.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Key duties include building client relationships, analyzing competitor pricing.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure strong presence.
  • Identify new markets and develop business partners.
  • Liaison with Japan’s Head office, submitting management monthly report and attending and board meetings.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Responsible for leading and overseeing the team to increase market share and knowledge training.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree.
  • More than 10 years of experience in business development and strategy working across large enterprises, top-tier management consulting, and/or a high-growth food-tech startup.
  • Proficiency in Japanese language (equivalent to JLPT N1) is required as the role involves liaison with Japan’s Head office, submitting management monthly report and attending and reporting at board meetings in Japanese.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to influence both internal stakeholders and external clients.
  • Proven track record and extensive experience working in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales and operational data.
  • Ability to multitask, solve problems, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good financial planning, budgeting, and reporting skills.
  • Strong business sense and industry expertise.
