About the role
As a full-time WHSO (Safety Officer) at Galaxy Studio Interior Pte. Ltd., you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the health, safety and environmental aspects of our interior design and construction projects in the Woodlands North Region.This is a crucial role that ensures the wellbeing of our employees and the successful delivery of our projects.
What you'll be doing- Conducting regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
- Implementing and monitoring safety protocols, procedures and training to ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Investigating and reporting on any incidents or accidents, and recommending corrective actions
- Collaborating with project managers, supervisors and workers to promote a strong safety culture
- Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to health and safety
- Staying up-to-date with changes in health, safety and environmental regulations
- Providing guidance and support to the team on all safety-related matters
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a WHSO or Safety Officer in the construction industry
- Thorough understanding of workplace health and safety regulations and best practices
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address safety issues effectively
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to engage with all levels of the organisation
- Proactive mindset and the ability to work independently to drive safety initiatives
- Relevant certifications, such as WSQ WSHSA or NEBOSH, are highly desirable
