Safety Officer cum ECO (Railway) | 4 Mths Contract [DAPH] - Tampines

Job Description:

The role of the Workplace Safety and Health Officer cum Environmental Control Officer includes but not limited to the following:

• Ensure the construction site is free of safety and environmental hazards.
• Manage and coordinate all safety, environmental & health matters within the project.
• Ensure compliance with the safety and environmental laws and regulations and client’s specifications.
• Assist the EHS Department in all EHS matters within the project.
• Ensure all Statutory acts & regulations, in-house rules & regulations and code of practices, as well as customer requirements are implemented and complied by all employees within the project.
• Implement and monitor EHS plans and management programs set for the project.
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments and follow-up actions to maintain high safety standards and compliance/ practices within the project.
• Conduct safety and environmental audits to identify level of implementation and effectiveness of the EHS management system and provide continuous improvement to the system.
• Implement and execute safety and environmental improvement program, such as trainings, talks, and other activities, to promote awareness and commitment in maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
• Compile and maintain all EHS reports and records.
• Lead and conduct incident investigation and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Provide reasonably practicable recommendations and measures to minimize and eliminate any foreseeable risk to all relevant stakeholders.
• Liaise with clients and relevant authority on all EHS aspects.
• Performing ad-hoc duties as and when required.

The job holder will ensure that the high level of environmental, safety and health standard of the site.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Recognized Technology / Science-related / Engineering diploma OR degree OR equivalent educational level;
• Registered Safety Officer with MOM;
• Registered Environmental Control Officer with NEA;

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in Safety and Environmental.
• Knowledge and experience of working in a multi-national and matrix organization.
• Knowledgeable in Singapore Environmental, Safety and Health Legislations and Regulations.
• Able to perform night duty or overtime if required.
• LTA worksite experience
