Role Summary
The Business Development Executive will play a key supporting role within the business development team, assisting in client onboarding, handling client queries and transactions, coordinating trade placements, and performing other related functions.This position requires strong communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering excellent client service. The Executive will work closely with Business Development Managers to support client acquisition efforts and contribute to the firm’s overall growth.
Key Responsibilities- Client Onboarding Support: Assist in the end-to-end onboarding process, including document collation, KYC/AML checks, and liaising with clients to ensure smooth and timely onboarding.
- Client Servicing: Act as a key point of contact for client queries, providing timely and professional responses, and escalating matters where necessary to ensure resolution.
- Sales and Presentation Support: Support Business Development Managers in preparing sales materials, pitch decks, and proposals for prospective clients.
- Trade Placement Coordination: Liaise with internal teams to facilitate trade instructions, monitor execution, and ensure timely updates to clients.
- Transaction Documentation: Handle transactional paperwork and maintain accurate records of client activities and communications.
- CRM and Database Management: Maintain up-to-date client data and sales pipeline records to ensure proper documentation and reporting.
- Reporting and Analysis: Assist in generating reports, dashboards, and presentations to support business development initiatives and client meetings.
- Regulatory and Compliance Support: Ensure all client-related activities adhere to internal policies and MAS regulatory requirements.
- Administrative and Project Support: Assist with client events, projects, and other ad hoc initiatives as required by the team.
- Education: Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 1–2 years of relevant experience in business development, client servicing, or operations within the financial services industry. Exposure to fund management, wealth management, or EAM environments is a plus.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong command of Business Mandarin, both spoken and written, to liaise effectively with Mandarin-speaking clients and counterparties
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Sound understanding of financial products and onboarding processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with CRM systems is advantageous
- Detail-oriented, with excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information
